Advice about Equipment for People with Disabilities

Welcome to the Essex County Council customised version of AskSARA, an online guided advice tool by the Disabled Living Foundation (DLF).

By answering AskSARA's questions about yourself and your environment, it will allow you to make informed choices about equipment that might help you. It will also provide details of where you can obtain equipment and useful information about ways to make your life easier.


Computer Access for Self-Assessment

If you (or a family member) are not able to use a computer, or you do not have access to one, you can use a computer at your local library or the Independent Living Centre (address below).

Here, equipment, minor adaptations and telecare products can be seen and tried out. During opening times staff are on hand to explain things and give advice.

The Centre is open to the public and an Occupational Therapist is available on:
