Welcome to the London Borough of Hounslow's version of AskSARA. Developed by the Disabled Living Foundation (DLF), AskSARA is an online guided advice tool for people who have difficulty with aspects of daily living such as bathing, walking, eating or other everyday activities.

By answering AskSARA's questions about yourself and your environment, you will get ideas and useful tips about ways to make your life easier, details of products that might help, and details of where you can get them.

Internet Access


If you don't have a computer at home, you access AskSARA via the Disabled Living Foundation on 0845 470 7272, where a trained advisor will guide you through the assessment. Lines are open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm.

Alternatively you can access the Internet at your local library or there is access available at the following sites:-

Age Concern Brentford, Alexandra House, Albany Road, Brentford TW8 0NE.
If you are able to use a computer, you can drop into the Internet Cafe Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm. If you need help you can contact Age Concern on 020 8560 6969 to arrange an appointment with a tutor.

The Calen Centre at the Coach House, Harlington Road West, Feltham, TW14 0JJ.
To arrange an appointment call 0208 583 6122 Minicom 020 8571 6220. The Centre opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm. The Calen Centre is a specialist centre for adults who have a permanent disability or have physical problems managing everyday life. The centre provides advice on a variety of equipment that can improve your choice about how you live. There is also a range of information available about services and organisations if you have a physical disability or sensory impairment.
